Dear GBT Launch Team,

I am excited to be inviting you to the very first launch meeting in GBT history. And “historic” is exactly what it is. It is historic in that sickle cell patients have desperately been waiting for an innovative therapy like voxelotor that works at the root cause of sickle cell disease by preventing polymerization of hemoglobin. It is historic in that voxelotor brings a new dawn in the sickle cell disease era, a future where we hope patients will see meaningful improvements in their lives. It is historic in the way GBT plans to support patients by building a comprehensive patient support program aimed at reducing barriers to starting and staying on therapy.

To deliver on our important mission we must RISE UP to this historic occasion. Our launch meeting is where we come together to listen, share, learn, and rejoice in the opportunities we have to make a difference. So many people have worked so hard to get us to this historic point, now it is our turn to RISE UP and bring it forward.
