The hotel will make every effort to have your room ready upon your arrival, but it is not guaranteed.
Attire
In general, the standard attire in Dubai is comfortable and casual. The general rule regarding dressing in public in Dubai is to wear clothing that covers your shoulders and your knees. Unlike other parts of the middle east, Dubai is extremely liberal and a luxury global tourist destination. Most restaurants and indoor facilities will have a smart casual dress code. In certain areas including Jumeriah, it is better to dress on the more modest side as a sign of respect for the locals.
The Hotel asks that a swimsuit cover-up and shoes be worn in the lobby, boutiques and dining outlets. You will find yourself most comfortable in resort casual / active sportswear (polo shirts, shorts, sun dresses, or blouses, sandals, walking shoes, etc.) in most settings. Bathing suits and workout clothes will come in handy if you plan to use the pool, fitness center, spa, or explore the beach. We suggest that you bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or visor to protect yourself from the intense sun. Additional details will be included with the travel information you will receive prior to your departure.
If you do plan on visiting a mosque o your Day at Leisure, Some mosques in Dubai, such as Jumeirah Mosque, are open to the public for set tours and it should be common sense to dress modestly there. In fact, the only thing you should think about when planning what to wear in a Dubai mosque is dressing appropriately in terms of covering up.
- Women should wear pants, trousers, or a maxi skirt with a top or shirt that has short or long-sleeves (latter preferred) or long dress that isn’t too tight, with sleeves.
- Ensure that you’re not baring your shoulders, cleavage, back, knees, or midriff.
- Bring a scarf for your head, though you will most likely be asked to slip an abaya (traditional black robe for women) on top of what you’re wearing and will be given a shayla (head scarf) as well.
- Men should wear shirts or t-shirts (with sleeves) and full-length pants or jeans. No shorts and no tank tops.
- Men also might be requested to slip on a kandora (traditional white robe for men) on top of their clothes if they aren’t adequately covered.
